Water Supply Business Process Support
Full time – 37 hours per week
Salary £25,680 - £32,100

About the role
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our Water Supply Team as a Business Process Support member (known internally as an Operations Support Assistant). This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with operational and maintenance teams, supporting data management and system processes that are vital to our asset operations.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for collating and presenting new data requests for approval, and you’ll need a basic understanding of Maximo to carry out essential functions such as work order management and PM regeneration. You’ll also be involved in completing and populating data templates for bulk uploads into Maximo, and you’ll need to understand how reporting metrics within Maximo can be applied to water supply operations.
You’ll help manage a shared mailbox, responding to queries within set timeframes and escalating issues to the appropriate departments when needed. A good grasp of Maximo configuration data and how it integrates with the Asset Management System is important, as is the ability to identify and resolve simple data inaccuracies.
While experience with Microsoft Excel—particularly functions like V-lookups—is a nice-to-have, we’re happy to support learning through online courses if needed.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be inquisitive and open to finding better ways of doing things. You should be comfortable working independently, with strong organisational skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams. Problem-solving and a proactive mindset are key, along with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn quickly.
We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, professional, and confident in building strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners. Attention to detail, accuracy, and competence in using Microsoft software will be essential to your success.
