IS Product Manager – Productivity & Collaboration

Full Time

Permanent

Salary – Between £56,800 - £71,000 depending on experience

Location – Pity Me, Durham

First stage interviews for this role will take place 16th & 17th October.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IS Product Manager to lead our Productivity & Collaboration team, focusing on established digital product stacks such as M365 and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). In this pivotal role, you will shape the ongoing strategy, delivery, and enhancement of these products, ensuring they continue to drive value and foster collaboration across Northumbrian Water Group.

You will set the vision and roadmap for our productivity and collaboration tools, manage product backlogs, and oversee the delivery of new capabilities. Working closely with business stakeholders, partners, and suppliers, you will provide thought leadership and champion best practices to maximise the value of our technology investments.

Reporting to the Head of IS Product Management, you will play a key role in shaping the future of digital collaboration within our organisation.

About you

You bring your authentic self to work and align with our One Team ethos and core values. With a proven track record of leading product teams and delivering value through digital products—ideally within the utilities sector, or with transferable skills from other industries—you are passionate about leveraging technology to achieve organisational goals.

You excel at building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and leading teams through change. Your experience includes working with external partners and suppliers to deliver and enhance technology solutions. You have led product teams across complex portfolios, and while experience with M365, RPA, or similar productivity and collaboration platforms is advantageous, it is not essential.

Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and leadership skills are essential, as is a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions and drive change. You are comfortable working in agile environments and managing the full product lifecycle. Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills are a must.

Here at Northumbrian Water/Essex & Suffolk Water, we embrace and value Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, and encourage all colleagues to bring their most authentic self to work.

Our colleague network groups include our Rainbow Support Network (LGBTQIA+), REACH (Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Heritage), WiSTEM (Women in STEM) and Thisability (disability and neurodiversity) networks. They provide a safe space for colleagues from diverse backgrounds, welcoming all colleagues regardless of their personal characteristics to participate in valuable conversation that improves our organisational awareness, understanding and inclusivity.

We encourage and welcome all applications, as we strive to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to having diverse communities represented within all our teams, structures, and organisation.

Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment
