About the role

The Cost Lifecycle Manager is the commercial lead for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and improvement of cost data throughout the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for supporting project teams by managing the lifecycle of costs from inception through delivery to lessons learnt.

As NWL evolves its project delivery capabilities, the Cost Lifecycle Manager will collaborate with and align to other asset delivery departments (PMO, Engineering) to define, implement, and refine cost reporting requirements. The role ensures consistency and alignment across projects, supporting informed decision-making and driving financial accountability.

The position is pivotal in optimising contract and project performance, providing expertise on cost data management, and identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance value delivery across the business.

You will be the primary owner of cost data within the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and relevance. You will present and report on cost data sets to senior leaders and establish and maintain systems for cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring consistent application across NWL projects & frameworks.

 

About you

You will have extensive experience in cost data management across the project lifecycle, including cost estimation, forecasting, and reconciliation. You will have experience in monitoring and analysing financial performance of projects and contracts and identifying risks and opportunities.

You will have demonstrated experience in designing and delivering cost data reporting systems that meet diverse stakeholder requirements, and proficiency in presenting cost data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

You can engage with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to define and align cost management processes.
