Salary: £36,993 - £46,241 (depending on experience)

About the role

Are you passionate about the environment and data? We have an exciting opportunity to join our wastewater performance team as a Network Performance Analyst, where you’ll work with data collected from our newly installed river water quality monitors.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of the wastewater network. You’ll manage and respond to alerts from river water quality monitors, as well as additional monitors across the network, helping to safeguard water quality and protect the environment. Ensuring compliance with permits and accurate environmental reporting will be a crucial part of your work, as you validate and collate regulatory data. Collaborating closely with operational teams and contractors, you’ll ensure high levels of monitor operability, directly supporting efforts to reduce pollution incidents and environmental spills.

With a strong background in wastewater and exceptional data analysis skills, you’ll provide key insights that help team leaders and managers make effective business decisions, identify areas for improvement, and maximise performance. Managing maintenance requests and alarms will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring timely upkeep of our monitoring fleet and the efficient use of resources.

Reporting and presenting data to stakeholders will be a regular part of your role, so accuracy and clarity are essential. We’re also looking for someone with an innovative mindset, always seeking ways to enhance current processes and drive improvements. If you’re ready to make a difference and use data to protect our environment, we’d love to hear from you.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a flexible and proactive approach, able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. While knowledge of the wastewater network and treatment processes is beneficial, it’s not essential as we’re more interested in your ability to collaborate, solve problems, and drive positive change.

As a strong team player, you’ll support others in decision-making, building effective relationships across teams and stakeholders. Your communication skills will be key, alongside a strong ability to analyse data and present your findings clearly. With excellent literacy, numeracy, and interpersonal skills, you’ll help us embrace innovation and continuously improve the way we work.
