About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the conservation team as a conservation specialist, providing a vital part in the recovery of nature, restoring and regenerating our natural systems and wildlife.
This role has responsibility for ensuring appropriate conservation activities take place across our land holdings, including the management of protected sites, providing a positive contribution to biodiversity.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of conservation plans. This includes organising surveys on our landholdings and surrounding land. You will also support delivery of company targets relating to biodiversity.
Within this role you will build relationships, using your knowledge to appropriately advise stakeholders to ensure they comply with legislation. In addition, you will work with stakeholders to ensure conservation data on our Geographical Information System (GIS) is correct.
Within this role you’ll provide appropriate guidance to our Conservation Advisors which means you will stay informed about conservation legislation and land management best practice.
About you

You will have previous experience in conservation, biodiversity, and land management. This includes working knowledge of environmental legislation and policies. You’ll be familiar with using contractors to deliver conservation projects and working within time and budget constraints.
Communication is a key focus of this role as you will provide appropriate guidance to stakeholders and influence the outcomes of conservation plans.
This means you will have experience of collaborative stakeholder working and influencing environmental stakeholders.
You may have a degree or equivalent experience in conservation, ecology, or land management, as well as membership of a professional body.
Interviews will take place online week commencing 17th March.
