About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Asset Programme Management Office as a Performance and Reporting Lead, managing those responsible for the development and delivery of accurate and timely performance reporting materials in line with NWL’s monthly reporting calendar. You will also provide a supporting assurance function and necessary challenge to ensure that Northumbrian Water continue to deliver the most effective business solutions.
You will own, communicate, and ensure compliance with the defined reporting framework across the Project, Programme, and Portfolio community. This includes active involvement in monthly review meetings in the role of ‘critical friend.’
You will lead those responsible for data analysis, providing insight and recommendations to support effective project and programme delivery. You will support NWL Corporate Assurance teams in auditing the information reported, collating evidence pertaining to the performance of capital programmes, and leading the communication and engagement activity.
About you
If you have experience providing a high-quality performance reporting function in a project, programme or PMO environment, we want to hear from you. This should include a strong understanding of assurance techniques, data analysis, and presentation capability.
You will be qualified to a degree level in an appropriate project, programme, or engineering discipline, e.g., business management, information management, project and programme delivery, or have equivalent relevant experience.
You will have experience of information management techniques and drawing conclusions from data to offer strategic recommendations in support of senior-level decision making.
You will have a track record of using PowerBI reporting tools to inform decision-making and project tools to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality and experience in data transformation, manipulation, and visualisation to effectively communicate findings to a varied audience.
You will be keen to demonstrate stakeholder management skills and experience taking a lead role or accountability for a business-critical function, preferably leading or developing individuals to ensure high-quality team performance.
