About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our in-house delivery arm Integrated Delivery Services (IDS) team as a Workstream Lead, working with your colleagues to deliver tangible business improvements, that will help us deliver for our customers, communities and the environment.

NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) is preparing for AMP (Asset Management Plan)8 (2025-2030), our largest ever 5-year investment programme. We will be investing circa £3Bn in capital projects, and need to prepare our capacity, capability, process, systems, data & people to do so.

The Workstream Lead will lead a grouping of projects and take responsibility for the planning & delivery of each Workstream. This role will include holistic strategy as well as analysis of current approach.

You will help our existing team develop a more detailed scale up strategy, a plan to implement, and then lead the implementation working collaboratively within the IDS workstream of our Transformation programme and across NWG partner functions, in a structured Programmatic  approach.

About you

If you are great at managing stakeholder relationships and multiple priorities, we want to hear from you.

You will have experience related to organising and managing a programme team to deliver successful outcomes. You will be able to work at pace, managing competing deadlines and work conflicts. You will have experience in risk and issue management providing practical, grounded mitigations to meet the demanding schedule.

You will have experience of scaling construction output/teams and an understanding of the project lifecycle journey for a D&C entity.  You will have experience of working in a Contractor environment and have been involved in / led the process of expanding that, or other, organisations and all the associated requirements, in a robust and formulated manner whilst also maintaining a focus on continued successful delivery of that business through the expansion process.

This is a Safety or Security Critical Role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test, prior to or within four weeks of their start date.

Please note this role may require a DBS to be completed prior to employment.
