Project Coordinator
Working hours (Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements will be considered)
Fixed term contract until December 2025
Salary up to £35,966 depending on experience
Location hybrid working with office location at Pity Me, Durham
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Transformation team as a Project Coordinator, working with your colleagues to support the efficient running and delivery of Transformation Programmes which will implement a range of improvements for our customers, communities and the environment.
NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) is preparing for AMP (Asset Management Plan)8 (2025-2030), our largest ever 5-year investment programme. We will be investing circa £3Bn in capital projects, and need to prepare our capacity, capability, process, systems, data & people to do so. We have launched an AMP8 readiness/transformation programme, to plan & implement a range of business improvements to ensure we are ready for the ramp up.
The Project Coordinator will help colleagues across the programme to create and maintain Project schedules, track work against the integrated schedule, task & action tracking as well as maintain Risk, Issue & Action logs.
The Project Coordinator will take an active role in the creation and issuing of Project reporting documentation and will pick up, plan and implement small projects within Workstreams or the overall Programme as needed.
The role will provide vital support to the team with travel booking, purchase order and invoice administration, meeting organisation and minute taking.
This would be a great opportunity for somebody at an early stage in their Project Management career or looking to step into the world of Project Management.
About you
If you are great at managing multiple demands and prioritising effectively in a reactive environment, we want to hear from you.
You will have experience scheduling work and working to deadlines, and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with others inside and outside of your team, building excellent relationships.
You will have strong planning and organisational skills, working proactively to meet the teams needs. It would also be useful if you have change management and project management/planning skills, but this isn’t essential.
